He's 86 today but he played Glastonbury this summer. He's one of the Kings of the blues (Albert being the other) and you can read all about him here but my favorite legend didn't make Wikipedia. This much is true: B.B. King was born to a very poor family. The legend is that when he was small he really wanted to play guitar but his family couldn't afford one so he stretched twine between posts on the family's front porch and plucked them instead. It's probably not true. More's the pity.
